Yield to Slower Traffic: At bottleneck points on the trail, rollerbladers and skateboarders should yield to people walking and riding horses.
Control Your Speed: Adjust your speed to conditions and maintain a safe distance from other trail users.
Wear bright or reflective clothing/accessories: If rollerblading or skateboarding during dawn, dusk, or at night, wear bright or reflective clothing to make yourself visible.
Wear a Helmet and Protective Gear: Helmets, wrist guards, and knee/elbow pads are strongly recommended for all rollerbladers and skateboarders.
Be Predictable: Move in a straight line and avoid sudden swerving. Give clear verbal or hand signals when changing direction or stopping, if possible.
Respect Wildlife: Maintain a safe distance from any wildlife encountered on the trail. Do not feed animals.
Pack It In, Pack It Out: Do not litter. Dispose of all trash in designated receptacles or take it with you.
Be Aware of Your Surroundings: Avoid using headphones that block out ambient sounds, and be alert for other trail users, obstacles, and potential hazards.
Carry Water and Supplies: Ensure you have enough water and snacks for your time on the trail.
