EXPERIENCE JORDAN RIVER
There’s no better place to be than the Jordan River at the magic hour.
Don’t block the trail: Keep to the side of the trail to keep out of the flow of active users of the trail. Be aware of others and your surroundings to avoid collisions.
Respect Wildlife: Maintain a safe distance from any wildlife encountered. Do not feed animals. Do not let your dog chase after wildlife.
Pack It In, Pack It Out: Do not litter. Dispose of all trash in designated receptacles or take it with you. Better yet, if you see litter, help us out by picking it up! Make your own clean up kit and keep it with you when you are out, so you have somewhere to put that trash!
Leave no Trace: Take only pictures (or paintings), leave only footprints.
Are there any art galleries or centers near the river?
Yes! The Utah Cultural Celebration Center sits right next to the Jordan River in West Valley City. They showcase a wide array of cultural expressions—from visual arts and music to dance and performing arts. Their outdoor amphitheater provides a performance space just feet away from the Jordan River.
Are there community art events along the River?
Yes! There are events happening throughout the year. We have a number of cultural and art events during the Get to the River Festival in September. Below is a list of past events, but make sure to check out the events calendar for the latest.
