About Event Advisory Committee
The Event Advisory Committee was created in August of 2021 and plays a vital role in supporting the Jordan River Commission’s mission by providing guidance and expertise for public engagement and celebratory events along the Jordan River Parkway. This committee is responsible for coordinating the annual Get to the River Festival and the Golden Spoke Ride, which encourage communities to connect with the Jordan River and the trail. The committee oversees and approves budgets for events and works to ensure that all planned events align with the Commission’s goals of conservation, recreation, and education, helping to foster a greater sense of stewardship and accessibility to the Jordan River corridor among the public.
Event Advisory Committee Meetings
The Jordan River Commission Event Advisory Committee meets bi-monthly on the second Thursday at 10:00 AM, and meetings are conducted primarily in an online virtual meeting format.
Event Advisory Committee meeting agendas, minutes, recordings and other information can be found at the Utah Public Meeting Notice site. Upcoming and recent meetings are listed and include the meeting agenda and packet and recordings, along with instructions for finding older archived meetings (note: the Event Advisory Committee was formed in late 2021, and there are no meeting archives prior to January 2022).
