Liz is the SVP and Chief Mission Officer at Utah’s Hogle Zoo. She oversees all aspects of animal care and health for the resident animals and the Zoo’s conservation and education programs. Liz’s vision to use the power of zoos to effect change began with creating the Zoo’s first conservation strategy and embedding those programs in core aspects of the Zoo’s operations. She strongly believes conservation is a marathon and relies on collaboration and appreciates the Commission’s long-term commitment to restoring the Jordan River. Liz received her Bachelor degree in Biology and Masters of Public Administration degree from the University of Utah.
