With the shortest riverfront section of any other municipality, Millcreek’s vision for its most western boundary mirrors the Jordan River Commission’s vision for a place that highlights this important feature of the valley. In 2025 Millcreek opened a loop trail on the east side of the river that connects to the Parkway and offers such amenities as a picnic pavilion, parking, a boat launch, playground, and restrooms. The effort to further connect Millcreek to the Jordan River Parkway provides residents a place to enjoy the outdoors and recreational opportunities in an urban landscape. Millcreek is committed to the enhancements needed to make the Jordan River as viable and usable as possible for people and wildlife.
