Gardner Heritage Farm

Ex Officio, Governing Board - Ex Officio, Watershed Council

Gardner Heritage Farms, commonly known as Gardner Village, is a historic destination in West Jordan, Utah, centered on the Gardner Mill, a flour mill built in 1877 by Scottish immigrant and pioneer Archibald Gardner. Once a vital hub of early agriculture and industry along the Jordan River, the mill and surrounding property reflect the region’s deep ties to Utah’s settlement and farming history.

The site was revitalized in 1980 when Nancy Long purchased the property and began restoring the mill and relocating other historic buildings from around Utah to create a walkable village. These preserved structures now house locally owned shops, restaurants, and galleries, maintaining a pioneer-era character while supporting small businesses and community activity.

Today, Gardner Heritage Farms and Gardner Village are a vibrant cultural and recreational destination featuring shopping, dining, seasonal festivals, and family-friendly events. Blending historic preservation with modern community use, the village remains an important landmark along the Jordan River corridor and a living example of adaptive reuse rooted in local heritage.
